You will never get a tax refund. If you win at the lottery, casino - that money will go to her first. If you win a lawsuit, the first person who will get paid is her. Your wages will be garnished until it is paid off.

And by paying under what you are ordered to pay, that amount will keep going up....with interest

OP,

Your current mindset needs serious recalibration. It is like going to the grocery store and telling the cashier you are only going to pay $50 for $100 worth of groceries because that's just what you feel you should pay for them. That sounds ridiculous right? What you are doing is no different.

If arrears get high enough they can literally land you in jail, did you know that?

They can't take money from my disability check so I guess she can just get what I pay her and my tax return. If the court doesn't like it I don't care.

Like student loans, the debt stays and the state is patient, confident it will eventually collect.

The only way to beat it is through death.

Good luck.

You do not care that it could potentially land you in jail?

Whatever you do, don't manage your case. Just let your lawyer deal with it. Seems that he's giving you on-point advice and direction so far. You've found the winning strategy.

You're clearly wasting your time here. None of the collective centuries of experience from the members can add to what you and your 5-star attorney have planned out.

Wait, was that 5-stars on amazon or avvo?

If your divorce was finalized in Cali then you pay per Cali guidelines. Her moving to Indiana doesnt change the order to Indiana Guidelines if theres a difference, same goes for your state. What these states will do is provide "Full Faith and Credit" to the Cali order and enforce it as if it were their own, Cali amounts and all. You're not likely to get a reduction without a change of circumstance and best interest test. I dont believe your ex can even agree to a lower amount unless its within 5% of the state guidelines, sounds like she wouldnt even do that one.

Three hots and a cot sound appealing to you?

Dude suck it up it will NEVER go away.

You can turn this around just pay what you can a s soon as you can.

Learn from your mistake and look forward not backwards. You do use the windshield and not the rear view mirror when going forward right?

Snap out of it and buckle down bro. You can pay that off and move forward with your life.
