Reserved court date

Unread postby hopeful dad » Thu Apr 06, 2017 12:22 pm

Ex's attorney has called and reserved a court date mid next month. I am not sure what is this regarding. Called the court clerk, she says, nothing has been filed, they have just called in to reserve the court date.

Just curious and anxious trying to know what it could be. Things were going on smooth atleast with our correspondences and there was no hint of something coming up. What could it be? Any guess from folks who know my history?

Will a move away be granted, if ex is still working in the town we live.

I don't understand. Two months ago, she wanted to change the school to near by. She works in the same town we live. I think douchebag still works in bayarea because as per D, they are all still living in the house infront of the school.

I am also in a limbo without an attorney. I was still interviewing and my current one seem has given up.

This has caused lot of anxieties since this morning.

Seriously? This has ruined your entire morning? There is no information yet, it's just a reservation. You can't put it out of your mind and just go about your life?

Wow, she's good.

I get startled at these things especially when she is trying to file something with the court and that too with the given circumstances around. Why would OC reserve a court date without an intent to disrupt my life? I will be ending up in this vicsious cycle of filing and counterfiling. considering I am also not represented now. I have to respond to all this with current job pressure which inturn is tied to my staying legally here.

I think I have some reasons to worry

How does freaking out about his particular issue improve your life? You have no information yet, no way of obtaining information yet and it is a month away.

With regard to this specific thing, worry about it does _nothing_.

Carry on with all the usual worrying you have yet to do and what you can do to alleviate those. What were you focusing on and taking care of before this notice arrived? Whatever it was, concentrate on that.

It could be a good thing.

And your job is not at risk. Stop listening to KQED and switch to decaf, if something important happens, we'll let you know.
