No way. Too many issues and complications to work out in 48 hours.

I wish, but we argue too much to reach an agreement in that timeframe.

The Divorce Hotel Concept - POLL

Postby dadsdivorce » Fri Jun 01, 2012 9:03 am

At Divorce Hotel in the Netherlands, unhappy married couples check into separate rooms, then spend the weekend meeting with lawyers, mediators and divorce specialists. They are presented with divorce papers when they check out a few days later. The cost is between $2,500-$10,000. I assume this concept only really works for couples that are amicable and amenable to making concessions.

If this concept was available when you were getting divorced, would you have signed up for the "Divorce Hotel"?

I'd be interested in seeing some exit polls from the places to see what kind of results they were getting with the financial and parenting time splits and if the participants were satisfied with the results.

No way, it would be cheaper to simply hire a mediator, if your NJ was at all rational, and willing to negotiate, which my NJ was not!

Give both parents a single person prison cell, let them out a few hours a day to talk to lawyers and mediate and let them out when they work out their differences. That'll give them a little 'push' to get things worked out!

Thunderdome. Two people enter, one man leave.
