Wife hacked laptop and phone. Monitoring internet traffic

Unread postby KickingAndScreaming » Sat Jun 18, 2016 11:27 pm

Hi I am a new member. Before I can get into much here, I have a technology problem.

My wife and I were both unfaithful. As part of trying to reconcile I gave her full access to everything. Well, she used that to install God knows what on my laptop and phone.at the same time she locked her stuff down. She even went and got a pretty expensive web monitoring program that monitors all of my internet activity on my home network.

I consented to her having my passwords. She then hacked my phone and recovered all old texts, photos, emails, and is planning to use them in court. I am wondering what the legal implications of her actions might be. We are in FL.

Thanks in advance. This is my first visit but the site looks like a great resource.

You sure screwed the pooch. Have you changed your passwords yet? Wiped your devices first?

When you give someone your passwords, you give up the right to call it hacking.

At the same time, what she got was probably useless in a court of law.

Can you say why it is probably useless?

Unless you are looking for spousal support from your wife, Florida doesn't care about your adultery.

I was listening to a conversation the other day and they were discussing the injustices we suffer because of our inability to tell when someone is lying and how technology will soon eliminate that. Interesting stuff.

I am wondering what the legal implications of her actions might be.

You answered your own question. "As part of trying to reconcile I gave her full access to everything." The legal implications for her are none.

The both of you reconciled , which means the previous adultery has been condoned by both parties. The issue is what will the evidence show has been your behavior since the previous adultery? Are you spending lots of time away from home? Does your digital presence suggest mom does most of the caregiving?

What are your goals?

FL doesn't care. This is what my attorney said. Hers seems to have her gathering lots of evidence for it. I can only assume for an alimony attempt. It has made me question that advice.

If anything, my digital presence since the adultery will show the opposite. I've always been about 70% of the role up your sleeves caregiving. Diapers, baths, stories, tuck-ins, outings, almost all dad. Lately she has been grieving the infidelity and the pending divorce. She spends her days locked away ignoring them.

As for time away from home, no. Aside from work I am in this house always. If I go anywhere at least one of them is with me. I've been a choir boy.

My goals are to defend myself. To provide for my kids. To avoid paying alimony on top of child support to someone who has no need of it simply because she wishes to punish me.

Simple question:

Since her discovery of your infidelity, has the wife had sex with you?
