Spell Check Stopped Working (GA)

Unread postby Mock Turtle » Thu Nov 05, 2015 5:06 pm

The spell check quit working yesterday when I compose new topics. Why?

Also I inclued my state in the Subject just in case that has anything to do with it. Because, you know, you just never know. Oh look . . . it didn't underline "inclued". WTH?

I could be wrong, and one of the seasoned moderators can correct me, but I believe all spell-checking that you saw in the past was a feature built into the web browser you used. I don't think there is a spelling MOD installed for phpBB.

Auto-spell check is working for me in the composition field on Chrome and Firefox. I am not certain if the Subject field is detected.

Maybe it's the version of your browser or within the settings? Has that changed?

Nope, you're right. It varies for me based on browser.

How's it going? Did the Smithsonian call and ask for their legacy software back yet?

Didn't you know?? Santa's helpers come here at night (when everyone's asleep) and correct spelling errors. They're called "moderators." LOL

Okay I'm using Chrome this time instead of Internet Explorer. Let's see if it catches me misspell "included".

inclued

Yup it caught it. Must be something changed in my IE browser. Thanks.
